New Game Plus in The Forbidden Tomes of Olipos

After the Sealed Isle

Beating Zahal and Olipos opens catalog endings, character endings, and post-clear toys in The Forbidden Tomes of Olipos. This page explains New Game Plus carryover, return before ending, the White Order Stone, and recollection room mock battles. Pair with Endings and the Ending Checklist.

Spoilers for post-final structure. If you have not ferried yet, finish Sealed Isle and Final Boss Prep first.

White Order Stone

After any ending resolves, you receive the White Order Stone. Use it to:

  • Reset the Desire gauge to 0
  • Clear adult-route event flags so ladders can be replayed cleanly

Then the game offers the usual fork: start NG+ or return to the pre-ending field state to keep collecting. Soft language: the stone is your archive reset—not a judgment screen.

Completionists chasing Good, Desire, Normal, Village Chief, and Toma routes should treat the stone as mandatory paperwork between stamps.

Two post-clear philosophies

NG+ with carryover. Begin a new cycle keeping levels, gear, and items (confirm the on-screen carryover list every patch). Early Morphin silence homework becomes trivial; you can rush medal vanity or alternate Desire profiles with a stuffed kit.

Return before ending. Step back prior to locking a catalog/NPC ending so you can clean Shining Medals, finish Chief bedroom stage 3 or Toma’s school flag, or approach the finale with different gauges.

Pick consciously. The four-to-six-hour runtime makes either path reasonable; accidental ending lock still hurts when you needed one more village talk.

Recollection room and mock battles

After clear conditions, a book at home opens the recollection room. Use it to replay scenes and to check encounter conditions without trusting memory alone.

Post-finale, recollection also unlocks mock battles, including:

  • Slime mock battle
  • Pink roper mock battle
  • Goblin mock battle

These are practice / Desire-combat sandboxes—not replacements for Mt. Sion story progress. Test Burst → Nova timing here if you want a low-stakes lab before another Heavenly Snake attempt on a returned save.

What carryover changes

Expect retained combat progress: level, equipment, and inventory items ride forward when you opt into NG+ carryover. Exact edge cases (key items, medals banked, recipe unlocks) should be verified against the prompt on your build—especially after applying Kagura’s OG Patch.

Carryover does not replace story flags you still need to re-talk (Cattleya still matters). Power is not a ferry ticket by itself.

What to finish before you NG+

  • Medal tiers through Luminous Nova if you care (Medal Rewards)
  • Side errands: cactus bikini, Special Film → Need (Side Quests)
  • Chief stage 3 / Toma school flag for character endings
  • Rainbow Orb + Eight-Radiance Stone already fused for pride kits (Crafting Builds)
  • Touch-to-defeat sweeps on cleared dungeons (Enemies & Farming)

Run-two goals that make sense

Speed Mottl → Seal Cave → Ripool → Dorna → ferry using memory. Practice boss kits intentionally. Chase ending variants with the checklist open. Revisit Boss Fights only for patterns you still misplay.

Because multiplayer does not exist and the map is compact (World Overview), NG+ is mastery and endings—not seasons.

Ending hygiene

Home catalog checks matter for Good / Desire / Normal. Chief and Toma use NPC talks instead. Read Endings before curiosity clicks. The Tools Hub exists for that paperwork.

Combat & Magic if silence still trips you. Items Hub if trades changed your sense of power. Updates Hub if a patch altered carryover after the 2026 PC launch.

Ending-first NG+ planning

Decide whether run two is for missing endings, medal pride, or boss mastery. If endings, keep the Ending Checklist visible and use White Order Stone between routes. If medals, clear Grand Gold loops before you roll NG+. If mastery, under-optimize one mock fight on purpose, then apply silence doctrine cleanly.

Closing margins note

NG+ is annotated margins on a text you already survived: levels and gear carry forward, the White Order Stone erases Desire pencil marks, and recollection mock battles let you rehearse footnotes with a slime, a pink roper, and a goblin before you shelve another ending stamp.
